Vicky has over 10 years experience representing clients' interests at Sheriff Court in family related matters and heads the family law team in Edinburgh. She is also a member of the Family Law Association.
Vicky has a particular interest in the financial division on divorce and child residence and contact cases and works closely with clients to resolve these issues. More recently, Vicky has been involved in a number of co-habitation claims under the 2006 Act and has seen an increase in the number of clients seeking advice prior to marriage for the preparation of pre-nuptial agreements.
At all times Vicky emphasises the importance of negotiation and communication throughout the entire legal process of separation and divorce to clients, especially where the interests of children are being considered. This can often be a very difficult time for clients and she works with them to ensure the best possible resolution for everyone involved.
