How to Terminate a Scottish Secure Tenancy

Monday 22nd March 2010

The Teacher Building, Glasgow

Course Outline

In the first of TC Young's "Back to Basics" series, we look at the various methods of ending a Scottish Secure Tenancy. From the death of a tenant to obtaining an order of court, the course will deal with the fundamental law governing the area and look at recent decisions from the Sheriff Court which are having an increasing effect on the day to day running of RSLs.  These decisions have emphasised the importance of proper preparation and completion of the statutory pre court Notice needed in cases where housing associations intend to raise proceedings for recovery of possession.  We will discuss these cases fully and look at ways to ensure that you get an eviction action right first time.

Who should attend?

This seminar will act as a welcome refresher course for experienced housing staff and also provide essential knowledge for those new to the area.
