GSCP Forum Conference 2008
T C Young recently hosted a stall at the Glasgow Social Care Providers Symposium in the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. The Symposium focused on the current Self Directed Support agenda and offered support providers, commissioners, care managers and all those connected with social care services in Glasgow the opportunity to think through how they will develop their roles and practices in line with the agenda. With addresses from Shona Robison MSP, Minster for Public Health, David Crawford, Service Director of Glasgow Social Work, and Duncan McKay, Head of Social Work Development at North Lanarkshire Council, the day proved to be an interesting insight into the issues faced by social care providers. It also provided an opportunity to meet those working in the social care sector, including some of our existing clients. T C Young's stall was popular throughout the day, with us making many new contacts.
