Commercial Property
Our commercial property department has a large and experienced team specialising in property law which is a core area of our work. From leasing, site acquisitions, development agreements, commercial property purchases, factoring and plot sales, we can help with every aspect of this work. The team has years of experience in this area and bring this knowledge to every transaction.
The firm provides legal advice for the full range of conveyancing transactions from low cost home ownership initiatives to multi-million pound acquisitions. This has included the acquisition of development sites, shopping centres and commercial premises, commercial lease arrangements, development agreements, deeds of conditions and a high volume of title work including transfers of title.
In addition to our general commercial work, we also provide specialist services to our RSL clients. Our property work sees us undertaking projects across the country from nil value up to multi-million pound projects. In addition to the innovative “Try before you buy” shared equity scheme, we are active in dealing with hundreds of Right to Buy, shared ownership, LIFT and mortgage to rent transactions throughout the year.
We advise on factoring services including setting up a factoring service, factoring agreements and terms and conditions, title advice, and advice on the Tenements (Sc) Act and Notices of Potential Liability for Costs.
We also provide day to day routine advice and support for all enquiries in connection with titles, including identification of owners and their titles, interpretation of titles and deeds of condition, disputes over land boundaries, maintenance and repair obligations, access rights and anything else that requires readily available, easily comprehensible and practical advice.
