Private Landlords
Private Landlords play a vital role in providing accommodation to households throughout Scotland and with the recent introduction of a Private Landlord Registration Scheme, they are set to be recognised as an important contributor to the housing infrastructure of the country. With registration however, comes a brand new set of obligations that may not previously have featured in the private landlord’s priority list. Are they ‘fit and proper people’ (to be registered)? Do they follow the correct procedure when evicting a tenant or do they know how to deal with a tenant’s anti social behaviour? TC Young already has many years of experience in dealing with such issues in the Social Housing sector and we are recognised by Chambers and Legal 500 as experts in the field. As a starting point for Private Landlords who are seeking or have already achieved accreditation with the increasing number of Local Authority Schemes, we host training sessions to tackle the most common legal concerns encountered by landlords.
