Mortgage to rent

We have completed over 100 mortgage to rent transactions for over 20 clients. The Scottish Government has made available over £15million in subsidies to enable RSLs to assist owners struggling to pay their mortgages to stay in their own homes. The owners sell their property to the RSL and then rent it back at a social rent and in addition agree on the completion of essential repairs. Difficulties in these transactions tend to arise in relation to the number of secured loans taken out by the owner but we have developed strategies to work to resolve these difficulties.
