Claire Mullen

Claire Mullen is a court solicitor with over 9 years experience specialising in the provision of legal advice in respect of litigation matters.

She is recognised by the Law Society of Scotland as an Accredited Specialist in Housing and Residential Tenancy Law.

Claire is an integral part of the team dealing with all types of housing law related matters. In addition to her Registered Social Landlord related work, she leads the Private Rented Sector team.

In addition to recognising the importance of achieving a successful outcome Claire is acutely aware of a client’s need to be informed and she has been commended for always being available to give staff advice and provide immediate updates”.

She is able to advise clients on a range of housing issues including all areas of tenancy law, eviction actions, rent arrears, matters of succession, repairs, debt recovery actions, sequestration and antisocial behaviour.

As well as advising on housing law issues, Claire has experience in court actions involving debt recovery, evictions, rent arrears and sequestrations from taking initial instructions, negotiating terms of settlement and appearing in court in disputed actions. She has a genuine understanding of court procedure and is able to give clients practical advice on how the court process works.

Claire provides advice on Private Rented Sector legislation and leads training on tenancy matters for Landlord Accreditation Scotland.  She also represents clients at the First-tier Tribunal (Housing and Property Chamber).
