Neil McNamara

Neil McNamara has over 20 years of legal property experience and plays an integral role in our property department.

He is an accredited paralegal and deals with more complex transactions including commercial leasing, securities, site-acquisitions, site assembly, off the shelf purchases, property disposals, bespoke Deeds of Conditions, Compulsory Purchase Orders, servitudes and buy backs. Client focused, he provides training to enable housing management teams to prepare and register Notices of Potential Liability for Costs.

Neil is part of the team who are highly experienced in Right to Buy, Shared Ownership and Homestake/Shared Equity scheme sales, including sales of additional tranches, buy-backs of existing shares and the transfer of a share by one sharing owner to a new sharing owner. He can provide practical guidance on all aspects of these sales and schemes by assisting with day to day queries or providing training for Registered Social Landlord (RSL) staff. Neil also deals with the lenders in relation to these sales to procure any necessary repayment of borrowings relative to such sales and the issues of discharge deeds and deeds of restriction in relation to lenders’ securities

Providing support to our solicitors dealing with renewable energy projects and leases, Neil assists with title examinations and reports, identification of land ownership, the sourcing of plans and title deeds and reports on leases for funders. He also undertakes the title and security work required to put in place any securities for funders including the preparation of certificates of title.
