Umera Rashid is a solicitor who has worked on litigation and data protection issues since commencing her traineeship in August 2017.
Based in our Edinburgh office, Umera works closely with Alastair McKendrick and is a key member of our litigation team. She assists private individuals, charitable organisations, and corporate clients with debt recovery and general civil litigation matters in sheriff courts across Scotland and the Court of Session. She also handles all housing management matters for RSL clients, including training on housing legislation, handling repossession actions, and providing policy advice.
Umera provides advice and assistance in relation to data protection issues and implementation of the GDPR, including subject access requests, policy drafting, and data breaches.
