Fiona Spowart is a Senior Solicitor and Notary Public in the Private Client department at TC Young, based in the firm’s Glasgow office. She joined the firm in February 2022 as a Trainee Solicitor and qualified in February 2024 after completing her LLB and Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Edinburgh.
Fiona specialises in core Private Client work, advising on a range of matters including Wills, Power of Attorneys, Trusts and the administration of estates. She has particular expertise in the administration of taxable estates and trust matters, where she provides clear, practical guidance to clients navigating often complex and sensitive circumstances.
She has a strong interest in Inheritance Tax planning, and regularly advises on tax-efficient estate structuring, ensuring clients’ affairs are managed in a way that reflects their personal objectives.
Fiona is a member of STEP Scotland and holds the internationally recognised STEP Diploma in Trusts and Estates (awarded December 2025). This qualification reflects her advanced technical knowledge and underpins her ability to deliver tailored, high-quality advice to her clients.
