Bio
Iona Whyte is an Associate solicitor in the Family Law Team in Edinburgh.
Iona advises on a wide range of family law matters including divorce, cohabitation, adoption, kinship care and child contact cases. She has experience appearing in Sheriff Courts throughout Scotland and representing clients at Children’s hearings.
Iona has developed significant experience in adoption law, advising prospective adopters throughout the process in both uncontested and contested cases.
Iona is a Notary Public, a member of the Family law Association and has also undertaken the Approved Domestic Abuse Training for Solicitors offered by the Scottish Women’s Rights Centre.
Outside of work Iona enjoys trying out new sports and travelling
