Legal Services for Charities
We offer legal services for charities in Scotland and currently advise more than 200 charities; ranging from small community organisations to large national ventures.
We work for many community regeneration organisations and are involved with charities completing community-owned wind farms and hydro regeneration projects.
Our Charity Team is led by Mark Ewing; one of a small number of solicitors in Scotland recognised by the Law Society of Scotland as specialists in charity law.
Our extensive experience in this area means we can offer considerable assistance to charitable organisations including:
- complying with existing and forthcoming legislation
- setting up a charity (ensuring that their aims and objectives meet the charity and public benefit test as administered by the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator)
- setting up subsidiaries
- banking/grant funding
- partnership working
- commercial property
- trading queries
- trust law
